The arvato Global Payments Network already supports over 60 local payment methods including global card brands such as VISA, MasterCard and American Express and key local payment methods such as ELV in Germany and iDeal in Netherlands. Paypal was a natural addition based on its increasing international acceptance and growing customer base.
Paypal allows customers to make a payment to merchants without sharing their financial information and offers customers a wide range of funding options. Paypal has over 100m active users worldwide and support payments in 25 currencies offering opportunities for international merchants to widen their customer base. Paypal research shows that adding further payment methods increases customer conversion and the seamless integration of Paypal Express Checkout via PaymentServer 2.0 offers merchants a single connection for all relevant global payment methods.
Paypal Express Checkout integration is available both as an API (application programming interface) integration and as part of the arvato Finance hosted Payment Page offering.
